Overview
The Video Production Administrator will manage, coordinate, and execute video production on behalf of the Tandon Marketing & Communications office. Serves as a resource to the Deanâ™s Office as well as Tandon faculty and staff in the design and development of engaging video assets and assures a high-quality and effective product on time and within budget scope. Manage the entire production process (filming & editing) of professional audio and video recordings for internal projects and specialized academic initiatives from consultation through to final deliverables, including production planning, script development, and equipment & location set up preparation. Oversee estimates for any outsourced vendors, and supervise video production student workers.
Responsibilities
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree marketing/communications or related area
Required Experience: 3+ years experience in production environment; digital video productions, supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PPT in a Windows and Mac environment. Proficient with Google apps. environment (including mail, calendar, drive, and sites). Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, and knowledge of the video production process/environment. Knowledge of shooting and editing videos and interviewing techniques for videos. Excellent organization, planning, interpersonal and communication skills, client services, ability to work in teams, ability to lead video crews on location. Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Aesthetic sense and ability to apply principles of graphic design to create appropriate and visually appealing communications for higher education and executive level education. Hands on knowledge of learning management systems; uploading media assets, delivering content in a variety of online formats. Proficiency with software such as the Adobe Creative Suite, editing packages such as Adobe Premiere; video and audio production set up and equipment maintenance. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written skills, with a well-developed focus on customer service. In this position, the candidate will be interacting with university staff, senior administrators, and students. Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive; able to problem solve and manage priorities with a smile; Strong ability to multitask and work under short deadlines with a customer service orientation. Creative and flexible to new ideas and practices. Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Team spirited with the ability to work in a collaborative environment, as well as able to work independently.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work with minimal supervision and identify and meet user needs; ability to set priorities and manage time; training experience. Understands usability and user experience.Knowledge of new technologies, mobile developments, and design standards.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $105,000.00.
