Collaborates with programming staff to design, create, document, test and maintain College websites.
Manages vendors who perform work for College websites.
Develops and maintains standards for programming code quality and security.
Consults with staff and faculty of the College to determine website requirements and scope.
Provides training and support on web technologies to staff and faculty.
Manages web projects, staff, and timelines.
Recruits, trains, mentors, and manages professional web staff and student assistants.
Verifies work performed meets standards for quality and security.
Coordinates with other campus IT units that provide related networking and hosting services.
Collaborates closely with partner units on processes and procedures.
Designs new systems, features, and tools. Solves complex problems and identifies opportunities for technical improvement and performance optimization. Reviews and tests code to ensure appropriate standards are met.
Acts as a technical consultant and resource for faculty research, teaching, and/or administrative projects.
Performs other related work as needed.
Experience working in Drupal 7 and 8/9 including custom module development.
Familiarity with Drupal theming and templating, mobile development, and responsive design.
Experience with revision control systems such as Subversion and Git.
Handle multiple concurrent projects in a competent and professional manner while also managing details and meeting deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Collegial attitude and the ability to take initiative in facilitating the work of others.
Work effectively independently and as a part of a team.
High degree of comfort working with a range of constituencies, including international partners.
High degree of initiative, creativity, and judgement; and a clear understanding of the principles of good user interface design.
Sufficiently broad and deep technical knowledge to understand and deal with all technical issues involved in large web-based applications or the demonstrated ability to work well with technical staff to identify and successfully address issues in areas beyond own technical expertise.

Strong project management and troubleshooting skills.
This position is based in Chicago, but is eligible for some hybrid (remote/in person).
