Are you interested in using your skills building iOS/Android apps to help us bring about a revolution in the healthcare industry?
The BrainHealth Project is a landmark longitudinal study that tracks the brain's health and performance over the lifetime.
You will be an instrumental member of our development team and help us reach hundreds of thousands of research participants through our full native mobile application/research platform. You will collaborate with researchers, statisticians, product managers, designers and other groups to design and implement new and improve existing features on our mobile platforms. You will publish and maintain new mobile app builds to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. All team members participate in regular code reviews, demos, and other sprint ceremonies as well as promote best practices and ensure a high standard of quality is maintained.
Some college/Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
2+ years of experience developing native Android apps using Android Studio and Java
Experience in developing RESTful web services
Experience in designing data solutions using a SQL database
Ability to work within a team or as an individual contributor in a changing environment
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Skill in writing technical and functional documentation
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Developed a native Android app in the Google Play store
Experience in developing RESTful web services using PHP and MySQL
Skill in developing and implementing test plans for applications
Some experience in developing iOS apps
Preferred Education and Experience:
3+ years of professional software development experience specifically focused on Full Native mobile development for Android and/or iOS
Experience in building high-performance, highly available and scalable distributed systems
Experience building scalable and highly available server applications with Node.js or similar.
Experience building user interfaces using front-end frameworks (preference for React).
Experience developing and integrating with GraphQL and RESTful web APIs.
